Backstory

Theseus is literally the mythological Theseus featured in legends such as the Labyrinth and the Minotaur. After his death, he was divinely recognized as a hero and treated to an afterlife in Elysium. He and his friend Asterius serve as the duel bossfights of the third stratum of Hades.

Abilities

Being a Shade

Theseus is no longer alive, instead existing as a Shade of the Underworld. He doesn't eat, drink, breathe or do other biological necessities unless he wants to. While he can still be physically destroyed, he will respawn somewhere else in Hades when killed.

Spear Spin

Theseus does a circular slash that surrounds himself.

Spear Throw

After throwing his spear, Theseus can either recall the spear back to him from where it landed, or perform dash attack towards it.

Shield Bash

Upon blocking an impact (usually provided from Asterius's head) with his shield, a traveling shockwave attack is released.

Olympian Aid

Theseus calls for the aid of a random Olympian god, with the attack and effects matching their respective domain.

- Aphrodite: Applies an attack down debuff on enemies.
- Ares: Causes damage over time.
- Artemis: Chance to deal critical hits.
- Athena: Gives Theseus a temporary shield from all damage.
- Demeter: Freezes and slows down enemies.
- Dionysus: Inflicts a poison debuff.
- Poseidon: Blows back enemies away from Theseus on hit.
- Zeus: Gives additional lightning attacks.
